Induction Heating Inner of Steel Liners

Description

Induction Heating Inner of Steel Liners With High Frequency Induction Heating Machine

Objective Heat steel liners on the head of an engine to removeĀ aluminium casing.
Material Steel, 80 mm ID x 190 mm (3.1 in x 7.5 in.)
Temperature 650 ĀŗC (1202 ĀŗF)
Frequency 60Ā kHz
Equipment DW-HF-25kW induction heating system, equipped with aĀ remote workhead containing one 2.6Ī¼F capacitor.
An induction heating coil designed and developed specificallyĀ for this application.
Process An internal 10 turn solenoid (bore) coil is used to heat the steelĀ liner to 650 ĀŗC (1202 ĀŗF) in approximately two minutes.
Pressure is applied to the outer aluminium skin to loosen itĀ from the steel. A four position coil can be used to heat 4 linersĀ simultaneously.
Results/Benefits Induction heating provides:
ā€¢ Precise direct heat to disengage the aluminium quickly andĀ cleanly. The aluminium casing is recycled and reusedĀ thereby reducing scrap and cutting costs.
