Induction Forging Billets

Description

Induction Forging Billets for copper, steel and brass With Medium Frequency Heating System

Objective To heat inconel billets to 2050Ā°F (1121.1ĀŗC) for a forgingĀ process.
Material Small inconel billets 0.39ā€ OD, 0.7ā€ length (.99mm OD,Ā 17.8mm length) with ceramic crucible 1.0ā€ OD, 0.7ā€ ID, 1.4ā€Ā length (25.4mm OD, 17.8mm ID, 35.6mm length); large inconelĀ billets 0.5ā€ OD, 1.0ā€ length (12.7mm OD, 25.4mm length) withĀ ceramic crucible 1.25ā€ OD, 0.87ā€ ID, 1.37ā€ length (31.8mm OD,Ā 22.1mm ID, 34.8mm length)

Frequency30 kHz
Equipment ā€¢ DW-MF-20kW induction heating system equipped with a
remote workhead.
ā€¢ An induction heating coil designed and developedĀ specifically for this application.
Process A four-turn helical coil is used to deliver uniform heat to theĀ inconel billets. Both size billets heat to 2050Ā°F (1121.1ĀŗC)Ā within 12 seconds.
Results/Benefits Induction heating provides:
ā€¢ Uniform and repeatable results
ā€¢ Flameless
